I'm dog sitting for my son next week. She is a jumper; I am going to try to get her to stop the jumping; so there will be HUGE surprise when they get home; Hoping !!!
Nice. Wash his eye boogers, he's too beautiful to have eye boogers 😂😂😂 #I'm obsessed with washing my dogs eye boogers😂😂🎉🎉 no but forreal , I needed this video so bad, I know what to do now
I tried this with my dog. he just gets frustrated and starts sitting and he won't move unless it's in the direction he wants to go. or instead of turning slowly he sprints untill he can't
Don't train your dogs with treats, train them with discipline. You want them to respect you and your rules, not see you as a vending machine. It's no different than children. If you let your children treat you like a vending machine, you're only teaching them to be selfish. "But it works, cause now he does what I wanted him to do." Yeah, but it doesn't work correctly, because you didn't want to do the hard part. So you don't actually have a trained dog, you have a conditioned dog. The difference is that conditions are circumstantial, while training is permanent.
from someone who made the same mistakes and had to learn how to retrain my dog all over again, I knew the moment he said it. I felt like an idiot when I found out I had basically been training my dog to act poorly.
It brings tears to my eyes to see responsible owners who give clear directions to their dogs instead of blindly punishing them for not reading their mind
Was gonna train mine once my parents finally gave him to me, because they were clearly not suited to take care of a dog that struggled with seperation anxiety and loud noises, but they put him down a couple days before christmas 2022, told me a day before they did it. So watch out if you know a dog that struggles with this, you never know what its owners might do to it.
just ignore them completely when you first walk in the house. sure theyll still get excited but dont even look at them. after time they wont be so excited/anxious when you come home
My dog is really good about not jumping on me but when other people come over, even frequent visitors, all bets are off. Why does it not translate to other people?
We got an Australian Cattle Dog for my son and he’s so smart he reminds me that I’m supposed to go out the door first when I forget lol. He sits like a foot behind or off to the side of me when I open the door. I’ll say ok go outside and he just looks at me. I’m like “Go.” And he doesn’t. Then he comes up to my leg and boops my leg with his nose to nudge me out first. Then I’m like “Oh yea, you’re supposed to follow me.” It’s so cute!
Good luck doing that with a husky. 1. It wil Ignite the threats after a while 2. It wil become extra unpredictable and reverse the game. 3. Pulling in the leash means yes, not pulling means go Faster
My dog is too dumb, or too mich of a dick, to understand this 😂 this works with every other dog I tried it with but that cunt of mine doesn't give a fuck about corrections, one second later he's back at it, steering left and right to smell whatever. I'm fed up of having to stop every 3 steps as he's too engrossed with what's around us.
My dog is eight years old, and we have tried everything, but for some reason, this... this worked. She learned it in 15 minutes. THANK YOU SO MUCH!❤ Now we can come home with ease and without worry that she'll rup our clothes and we won't have claw marks everywhere😂
A year and a half in of doing ALL of these things this with a samoyed and he still pegs the leash when he decides he wants to go a certain direction. I dont even let him win with pulling to get anything. Hes just that stubborn.
for my dog, I need to pre-emptive the lunge. I just recently learned that lunging is internal reinforcement for dog. so it's also not effective using the positive punishment
If you wait for them to make the right choice in order to reward the correct behavior, what if they always make the wrong choice? For example my dog always barks when a bicycle passes by.
This is exactly what I do with a 1200 lb horse in training! Reward the good behavior - bump with the lead when they do the wrong thing! My dogs are usually off leash because I’m working with horses - but I have an invisible bubble that when they get out of it, I call them back - when they do the right thing - no pressure - wrong thing - a correction - horses and dogs!
Yeahhh… as someone who studies up on animal abuse and animal welfare this type of collar should only be used as a last resort that you would want to switch to stop using and having a different command. E-collar is just another name for shock collar and most the times self proclaimed dog trainers who haven’t learned the ins and outs of the dog will happily use them as an easy fix, but “fixing” one problem creates another one, just because a dog can tolerate it or associates it with being outside doesn’t mean it actively lives having it on.
Dog sat a few years ago for a friend. She had a beautiful Husky that had a very, very bad habit of leash pulling. Bad enough to the point of nearly going into the street and almost getting hit by a car. He was around two years old when I watched him, and it took literally a day and a half, but I managed to lessen his pulling with this method. With how stubborn Huskies are, it takes significant patience to deal with them, and it really did not help that he was not properly trained as a puppy.
Lol the problem is solve with a long line. It shouldnt be off leash when its recall is not intact
Thank you so much... I'm so excited to try this out at home!!!

How many training sessions was this?
My 6 month old puppy, this worked on training her at home but soon as we're outside at the park or someone else's house she jumps and ignores treats
Me: your dog is annoying and barks too much My sister: thats her telling you she loves you 🙄
He looked at you like it was your fault.

The real test is having her come through the door though not you 🤷🏻♀️
Useful
It brings tears to my eyes to see responsible owners who give clear directions to their dogs instead of blindly punishing them for not reading their mind
This is great advice. Thank you for sharing. MK Australia

I didn’t use treats to train him to not jump on me. I just didn’t let him.
What kind of training treats
What makes the impact crate better than any other?

I know that ignoring my pup is best when training but OMG he's a golden retriever and the cutest ever I can't help myself
My dogs do not like treats on walks 😢 they are golden pits and super hyper on walks but very good boys otherwise
this worked to well on my husky now he dont want to drag the sled any more

You're only meant to reward the positive behaviour, so when he doesn't react, how do people not understand this!?

Lagging = Right Turn, Speed up = Left Turn
The be unpredictable thing is great but my neighbors think I'm crazy.
Your puppys are so cute and little when they were puppys

I love that the dogs name is Hennessy😂 I bet someone dad named him that 😅
my puppy doesn't go back, he goes to the side and starts biting my legs. what else can I do?

EXCELLENT young man. Viewed many traine t s on this and yours is most helpful and succinct!!
Complains about how a method doesn't work, goes on to show the exact same method.
Or use prong collar for quicker results
The world's littlest scammer.

A shock collar is much cheaper than infinitely bribing your dog to do normal every day things.

That’s a dog that doesn’t like the e collar?
Yea but you do and you let this happen? No shit don’t let a blind dog be bothered.
What the actual fuck
